This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area.

Hotel is really quaint and done within several very old buildings - as best as possible. Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. Requests like - making a call on our behalf to a beauty salon - were met with dismay (by the male). The breakfast area could be easily mistaken for a US Best Western hotel. Impersonal. Food as well. The only thing - that was really cool - was the giant mural with the Rabelais character - Gargantua (the gourmand). All in all it is an OK place with strategic location within the downtown.

Mignon et agréable hôtel.
Une nuit de passage. Agréablement surpris par l’hôtel . L’environnement top:au milieu de la ville mais sans le bruit! Personnel très sympathique. Une étoile moins parce que la salle de bain est vraiment trop petite: pour un homme grand (1.85 cm.) la douche est trop serrée en pour un visite à la toilette il faut vraiment faire très attention de ne se pas cogner!!!

Décevant, la chambre confort à 101€, nous sommes resté 3 nuits et avons pris le petit déjeuner 1 seule fois soit 26€ donc un séjour pour 329€ et l'arnaque c'est que j'ai dû payé 357€ et pourtant la taxe de séjour est incluse dans le prix de la chambre… De plus la chambre n'a pas été faite, c'est inadmissible, grosse tache dans la douche, abattant toilettes cassé comme la porte de douche et télécommande de la TV avec piles usées... la 1ère fois que nous sommes venu on avait une chambre confort : parfait pour 1 nuitée. Là mon dernier séjour de 3 nuits était horrible, de plus j'avais stipulé une chambre donnant vers l'arrière (confirmation par mail) et on se retrouve avec une chambre en façade et bruyante. A moins que vous fassiez un geste commercial (déjà l'arnaque au niveau du prix) je reviendrai à Chinon mais dans un autre établissement ou les 3 étoiles signifient quelque chose.
