This hotel was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful, serene atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pool area was a true oasis—surrounded by lush trees and flowers, with only the soothing sound of cicadas. The walk to the hotel is quite steep, but well worth it for the experience. Plus, there’s a luggage transport service available for a fee.

Beautiful Gem in Capri

Can't say enough about this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and spoke great English. Our room was spotless with a modern design, and our view from the balcony was stunning - one of the best views of Capri. It is a hike from the road to the hotel, as noted on the website. We managed to roll our suitcases up the switchbacks, but the hotel will arrange for someone to pick then up for you if you give them notice, which would be much easier! It's a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to the city center, depending on how busy the roads are. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

JUST BOOK IT!

This place is a true, surrounded by greenery and cobblestone that brought back my best childhood summers. I cannot begin to explain the genuine care and kindness we received from the staff and even the other guests staying. My husband was having issue with the hills and walkway way up the GARDENER brought our luggage up. Its clear community here is important to them and working as a team. The staff also offered us a less glamorous route to a main road 15 minutes from the square and we were so grateful. Villa Lia was everything we dreamed & more, we plan on making this place our frequent stay.

The property is new with what it means in good and bad things, they are still trying to fix all possible issues. Internet NOT working during our full stay, telephone and TV too. Plumping issues during the first 2 days but they are working to fix them… Pool half empty, honestly cannot understand why… The staff is kind and doing their best they can to “save” the day. I am sure they are living a nightmare with the complaints of the hotel guests. What it is terrible and cannot be fixed is the hotel location. You literally need a 10 minute steep hill walk to reach the hotel and this is on top of the another 15-20 minutes walk from Capri center. There are no words to describe how IMPOSSIBLE to live with is this location, irrespective and irrelevant how fit you are.

Room itself was modern, very clean and nice. Some staff very helpful. However pool was dirty, unclean and had hose in even though it wasn’t being drained or filled. Was dirty for our 3 days. Apart from the hotel rooms and the terrace, everything seems unfinished. Running water is very poor. Flush the toilet and have to wait an hour for it to be able to flush again. On one of the days we had no water. We had to go out unshowered for the day. Spoke to staff who said something would be done, then waited 40 minutes. Nothing was done so had to go back down and ask staff again. Maintenance came up and looked at the room. It was said the water was fixed, even though it wasn’t. So we had to leave for the day unwashed. When we came back at 6:30pm it was working again. Our electric also kept knocking off and on. Which was very annoying. Hotel is very high up in Capri. So be warned. But it does give beautiful views when you finally reach it. Despite the room being decorated nicely and some nice staff members, we wouldn’t be able to recommend this hotel or stay here again

Fantastic stay. We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and we were very happy with our stay. The food and the service in the restaurant is incredible! Best food we had at Capri. The rooms are decorated tastefully and the jacuzzi was a big plus for us. Yes, the hotel is located high up on a hill making it hard to access. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone having problems with mobility. Small details were also missed that would be expected from a 5 star hotel but still a very nice stay.

In my opinion… this was not a 5 star hotel. The location and the view are spectacular and breathtaking. I enjoyed my stay. From my experience there are a number of things they could do to improve. 1. Be more clear about the climb to the villa. It is 14 switchback turns. You climb over 100 feet with luggage. 2. It was not clear in anyway that they would help you up with luggage. 3.there are no signs for villa Lia at via touro 11. There are no signs at the top if you should turn left or right. 4. It is not obvious at night that there are light switches for the climb. 5. I had no hot water the first day. It was not fixed that night. It was in the morning. There was no offer of accommodation or service recovery. I saw the manager the next morning. She did not check on me. 6. Staff who greeted me tried to have me pay 100 euro for “suite”. No explanation of what that gave me or offer to see room. If they have an empty suite, why not just upgrade me??? No sense of what 5 star should mean. 7. Waiter at lunch could barely open a bottle of wine. Cork broke for no reason. Young. New staff. Polite..but again… 5 star property should train staff. 8. Also wine ordered at 40 euro was not available. Offered others , price was 60 and we were not told. 9. No luggage rack in room 10. WiFi was poor in room. They accommodated w staff wifi password. Again the property is GORGEOUS. The staff did all they could, I just think there is a lot mgmt could do to make it actual 5 Star.

Nothing really worked, door cards kept on erasing, the room safe didn't work, no cold water in the bathroom the first day, the jacuzzi was only cleaned when requested and then they run out of water, €20 charge to deliver food to the pool, the stairs to get to the hotel are horrendous, there were workers doing some construction constantly on their phones and smoking, simply put a very poor experience. No one seemed to be in charge.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Lia in Capri from July 6 to 9, 2025 as part of our honeymoon — a milestone trip we had been looking forward to for months. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by multiple failures in basic hospitality and guest care: • No functioning air conditioning during a severe heatwave; a fan was only brought to the room on our final night • Electrical outlets in the room were nonfunctional, making it impossible to charge essential devices • The private jacuzzi, one of the primary reasons we chose this property, was broken and unusable throughout our stay • The pool was dirty and closed for hours, with no alternative space for guests to enjoy • The location was misrepresented — access required a steep and exhausting uphill climb, never mentioned in the listing We respectfully raised all of these issues with staff members Marco, Eva, and Tania, who were kind in their demeanor but unable to offer any solutions — no room change, no compensation, no attempt to make things right. We contacted management before sharing this review, hoping for a fair resolution or acknowledgment. Unfortunately, we received no meaningful response. Given the premium price point and the way the property is marketed, we found the experience to be unacceptable and emotionally disappointing — especially for such a personal and significant occasion. We’re sharing this not out of malice, but in the sincere hope that future guests will not face the same situation. Sincere

Hotel molto bello e arredato con cura. Ha un terrazzo con una vista spettacolare. Le camere sono spaziose e dotate dei confort necessari. La colazione è buona e il personale molto gentile. Unica pecca è che si raggiunge solo a piedi facendo una bella salita (non adatto a chi ha problemi di salute o non è abituato a camminare). Questo lo rende esclusivo ma faticoso da raggiungere soprattutto se si intende uscire e rientrare in hotel più volte al giorno. Diciamo che è adatto a persone "sportive". Ma una volta arrivati si gode di un bellissimo panorama, anche dalle camere. La piscina (che è ancora più in alto) è bellissima.
