Chateau de Bourron is a lovely property within easy driving distance of charming villages, restaurants, local shops, and of course, Fontainebleau Chateau. The castle hotel is charming, warm, and inviting, and so quiet, it’s as if you’re miles from anywhere. We had a wonderful week of enjoying the countryside and returning to a fabulous castle hotel with all the comforts of home. Highly recommend for couples, families, and special occasions!!

The owner clearly has pride of place and pays attention to details. Our rooms (beds) were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stroll along the property. We stayed in the auxiliary building, the Maison d’Artagnan, in a beautifully appointed “comfort” room. Breakfast, which was delicious, was in the chateau itself. In our room there was a booklet that included a description of the history of the chateau, as well as recommendations for nearby restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend the Chateau de Bourron.

Honeymoon in France
We are on our honeymoon in Paris. Decided to get out of town. We stayed at the Château and absolutely had a wonderful time. It is breathtaking and so relaxing. We cannot wait to come back! If visiting the area, make it a point to spend some time here you will not regret it.

A wonderful weekend stay at Chateau de Bourron. Our hosts made us feel very welcome at their wonderful family run property. We very much enjoyed staying in a grand room and exploring the hidden treasures in the grounds of the estate. We also met the owner/chef of the Michelin starred restaurant located in the old estate stables, and dining at ‘Les Premices’ was a marvellous gastronomic experience. Located just 10 minutes from Fontainebleau, this was an excellent experience and is highly recommended.

A memorable stay in a French Chateau
A wonderful place to stay . The picturesque Chateau is surrounded by wonderful unspoilt countryside, where we spotted a couple of deer a heron and other wildlife. The Conte and Contesse were the most delightful hosts and our room was decorated and furnished in a style befitting the character of the Chateau. All the amenities were up to date . We will be recommending it to friends and family
