Absolutely LOVED the Ruby Bea. Great food, service, and the rooms were wonderful. If you don’t mind staying a relatively short walk from the city center this hotel is for you.

Stylish and fun hotel
Funky, stylish, modern hotel. We enjoyed the overall vibe and the little bar in the lobby (and had a nightcap there a few times). The room was clean, modern, and attractive. We would have liked having a fridge and an electric kettle, but the staff was happy to provide ice on request and there is hot water (and free tea/instant coffee) in the "galleys" on some floors. (Staff was very fluent in English, FYI.) Very nice bathroom, we really appreciated the towel warmer and the excellent shower. Location was pretty good--some nice places to eat nearby. But as of November 2024, there was a lot of construction in the neighboring park and the road next to the hotel, making it a bit unpleasant to walk around there. Not the hotel's fault but something for guests to be aware of.

10/10 Exceptional

I recently stayed at the Ruby Bea Hotel in Florence, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, stylish, and inviting—a perfect mix of modern comfort with a touch of Florentine charm. The staff at Ruby Bea truly went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. A special shout-out to Marta and Ida at the reception-bar, who greeted me with such genuine warmth and professionalism. They answered all my questions about the area and offered fantastic recommendations that made my trip even more memorable. Their friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. Diego was also a gem, helping me set up the Marshall speaker in my room so I could play my music effortlessly. His patience and expertise turned a simple setup into a delightful experience that enhanced my stay. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Jaqueline for keeping my room in pristine condition every single day. Returning to such a clean and well-cared-for room after a day of exploring was a comfort that I deeply appreciated. Ruby Bea Hotel and its outstanding staff made my Florence visit a remarkable one. I can’t wait to come back!

Poor rooms!! Do not stay
Paid over £250 per night to stay here. The rooms unfortunately let the hotel down. No warmth or romance to the room. When in Florence you’d like a bit comfort for that price but it felt like stopping in student accommodation, not in a nice hotel. Poor.

This is a glorified hostel and I would not recommend a stay here. The building smells and they try to mask the smell with perfumed air. It’s such a strong scent that I started to swell in the face and was sneezing non-stop. It was extremely challenging to have a good night rest with the perfumed air. We also did not have hot water for 2 days of my stay. The staff didn’t even notify the guests. Completely unacceptable customer experience- at a minimum notify your guests if the building has issues that you are aware of and trying to fix or manage. A hotel without running hot water is completely outrageous and even more appalling that the guests have to find out by trying to take a shower and not being notified in advance. The rooms were clean, but the hotel does not provide irons, slippers, coffee machine or drinking water for the guests. 1 iron can be shared by all guests located in one room on a specific floor. For coffee, tea, slippers, water bottles etc there’s a vending machine. This hotel is like flying spirit airlines- you have to pay every step of the way for basic items that typically come standard with other hotels.

This new property is fantastic in the area of service as the checkin area also serves coffee and drinks at night and food is available. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive to the needs of the hotel guests. The breakfast provided was very good. Hotel is trying to be very “green” but strangely no electrical outlets are available in the bathroom for a hair dryer. On the downside the location is a long walk to the central area, the construction outside the hotel is an inconvenience, and the number of homeless people sleeping in the doorways next to the hotel are a concern late at night.

We had an amazing stay at Ruby Bea. The property is incredibly clean and modern with the cutest bar at the ground level. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to offer restaurant recommendations and schedule our 4am shuttle. We also loved that the front desk was staffed 24/7. The location is slightly further away, but still within a 15-minute straight shot walk to the duomo (which is where a lot of attractions are). We’d highly recommend this hotel and would stay again next time.

The hotel was lovely with friendly and attentive staff. However the bathroom setup leaves very little to the imagination when sharing a room with a friend or relative. Could some frosted glass please be installed for privacy of guests for the future?

Fancy hotel and that’s about it.
This is a new hotel just outside the city center. We did not have a hot water for the last two days of our stay, the explanation was because it’s a new hotel there often problems. If you’re going to open a new hotel, you better be sure to make sure everything works. we end up paying the same price whether it is working or not, which is an explanation I should’ve given, maybe we should’ve gotten a discount. There was no creamer in the “galleys” And I was told that you could not find creamer anywhere in Italy. What a joke, every hotel that we have stayed in has creamer. Everyone was very nice, but that doesn’t excuse the poor experience overall. This is one of those fancy hotels with crap amenities. Spend your money elsewhere.

It is newly renovated. Water with lemon jug available 24/7 at bar to refill your water bottles. Bar open 24/7. There is construction outside the property which is inconvenient. You have to walk through construction cross road
