Residenza Petra was an excellent choice for us. The hotel is warm and inviting, and we were served by two extremely friendly staff members, Enza and Concetta (sorry for incorrect spelling!).
Enza in particular was helpful with directions, reservations, and parking information. Breakfast each morning was a delicious informal brunch, including fresh bread, hard sausage, local ricotta and jam, pastries, and a fun contraption for cooking soft boiled eggs. Enza and Concetta made very tasty espresso drinks to order.
Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable, with a bathroom in working order, and turn down service every day. No air conditioning, but a fan was available, and open windows kept the air circulating. Electricity to the room is activated by a key card, so when you are away, anything plugged in will not receive power. Be sure to charge devices overnight.
Petralia Soprana is a tiny town with beautiful churches and narrow streets. The locals are friendly to tourists, and we enjoyed our meals at Trattoria da Salvatore, and spritzes and snacks at the bar on the main piazza, which has some outdoor seating.
We highly recommend Residenza Petra, and would stay there again!
