Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. The biggest issue was the misleading room description. We booked a Junior Suite with sea view but were given a room facing the back of the building with a view of another resort. When we complained, staff claimed that as long as we could slightly see the ocean from the balcony, it qualified as a sea-view room—which is misleading and unacceptable.
We also experienced ongoing power and AC issues. The circuit breaker kept tripping, and the room phone didn’t work without power, forcing us to walk to the front desk multiple times. The first night, no technician showed up and we slept without power or AC. The second night, after insisting again, they finally sent someone and fixed the issue, but the situation was extremely frustrating.
Food quality and access were disappointing. Two restaurants required reservations, yet there was no availability for our entire stay—even from day one. Staff refused to make any exceptions. The remaining restaurants had long lines, with wait times up to an hour. One night, we couldn’t get dinner anywhere and had to rely on room service. The club sandwich we received was tasteless, with very dry meat.
Guests who booked through Expedia receive a different-colored wristband, and the staff clearly treats them as inferior, which was very noticeable.
