This was our first stay at The Bromley, visiting with friends who had stayed previously, and it certainly lived up to their recommendation.
The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent — our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the complimentary refreshments were restocked daily, which was a lovely touch.
Breakfast was included and genuinely impressive. Although typical for a B&B, The Bromley went above expectation with a great selection and freshly prepared options.
Parking was the only downside. Spaces are quite narrow and cars become blocked in, meaning you can't access your vehicle — even the boot — once parked. For the price, this was a little disappointing. That said, the tram stop right outside offers a very convenient alternative for getting around, which helped offset the issue but was an extra unexpected expenditure to our trip with £8 for parking, and £10 a day for two people on the buses and trams.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would recommend.

We spent the weekend in the superior sea view room and whilst it was a bit on the small side and the bathroom could use more space, it was still a cozy stay. The TV wasn’t working because of a signal issue, and we tried everything to fix it, which was a bit annoying as still nothing. The bed was super comfy though, I had two great nights of sleep. I appreciated having a fridge in the room, very handy. The view was lovely but I think we ended up in a different room than the one shown at booking. The hotel has a little shop where you can buy accessories; I ended up treating myself to a handbag at checkout, brilliant idea for a hotel and first I have ever seen. Breakfast was fine, the hosts were really accommodating. It might sound silly but those beans were some of the best I have ever had. The hosts were nice and easy to chat with. The decor across the hotel was very on point, lovely the one in our room. The only downside was parking – we couldn’t move the car all weekend because it was blocked in, which wasn’t ideal, especially since we were paying £8 a night for it. Even though we really liked the hotel, the parking situation makes me think we wouldn’t stay again because we need that flexibility. We got lucky over the weekend with mostly nice weather and the walk into town was only about 15-20 minutes. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful hotel.
