A Peaceful Oasis
The Butterfly Farm is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the cattle farms of the area. Green and serene, with lots of privacy. Karen is a wonderful hostess, she has lots of great information on things to see in the area and she is ready with anything you might possibly need. If you are looking for a retreat away from the tourist traffic of the Great Ocean Road while still being connected to good Wi-Fi and all the amenities, this is the place to stay.

A rare and extremely enjoyable B&B.
The Butterfly Farm and its hosts Karen and John are very rare finds of the absolute best kind :-). The room was very spacious with a fridge, table, heated blankets (:-)) and included access to a veranda, a huge bathroom, a big corridor and a separate toilet. Karen and John were extremely welcoming and the breakfast a delight!!! We are so happy we found this place and heartedly recommend it to anyone that needs a special retreat for the night.

Fantastic stay in a lovely quiet location (watching the blue wrens hop around the grounds was one of my favourite things) Very comfortable room and a great breakfast. We had a wonderful couple of days staying at the beautiful peaceful home of John and Karen . As hosts they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Great company. The house is full of character , and a short drive to some great beaches. The choices for breakfast were second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Would I recommend a stay here? Absolutely!

Butterfly Farm is an old farm house that was originally built in 1894. It has been lovingly restored by the current owners keeping it as authentic as possible. Karen and John are the most gracious hosts who work hard at making sure their guests have everything they could possibly need. We had a fabulous stay. We highly recommend Butterfly Farm!
