The only good thing about this hotel is that it is easy to locate when you are driving. It is possible to walk into Porto Empedocle from the hotel (as long as you don't mind walking along the highway for a couple hundred metres), but I would recommend staying in Porto Empedocle instead. This hotel lacks any personality (we saw it was a bus tour stop, and it definitely had that feel). We can live with that, but it had nothing to recommend it. The hallway walls were grimy, there was basically no wifi in the room and the shower was absolutely repulsive with mold - and not stained but actual mold that if anyone had spent five minutes with a scrub brush in the last six months to clean, would have come right off. The breakfast only had a self-serve machine for coffee (like you would have in a hospital waiting room), the "hot" water out of the machine for tea (or coffee) was tepid at best, the "orange juice" was also out of a self-serve machine so was basically tang, and the only fruit was sickly peaches out of a can. We also didn't have hot water for part of the stay, although they did manage to get it working again; not that we felt clean after being in the disgusting shower. Finally, the king size bed was the style of two twins pushed together. We've had that a lot, and with a minimum of effort a hotel can make sure you don't fall between the beds in the middle of the night. This hotel made no such effort. We found that in this price range there are much better places.
