Right in the middle of all the restaurants and shops downtown. There is no full time staff here and the check in consist of grabbing an envelope with your name on it that has your room key. There is a restaurant Nextdoor though that can help you with anything for the hotel.. AC and room were good

Overnight Salsbourg hotel
Parking a real nightmare like any city but the hotel was great value for money and the bed was wonderfully comfortable which was such a relief due to our long drive from Calais. Also there are no lifts so if you end up on the 4th floor like we were, it was a steep climb up 4 flights of stairs with luggage !

Bad neighbours
The room itself was good - the location was excellent Unfortunately the room next to us arrived late - and made so much noise - We banged in the wall and they didn’t take any notice - As we were 2 females alone we didn’t feel confident knocking on there door at 1 am - They spent 2 hours arguing loudly and playing music then 2 hours making up very loudly !!! The walls are very very thin and nobody is in hand to help in situations like this ! Because if this I don’t think I would stay again

4/10 Fair

I don't usually post poor reviews and I'll start with the positives - location is great, air con worked a treat and the staff were very pleasant on the extremely brief times we saw them. On the negative, well where to start. The room was tiny, as in when you got out of bed, you had to shuffle sideways to get out of bed. Bathroom was tiny, hair dryer didn't work and there was a used soap on the sink when we arrived, presumably from the other guest. Carpet was tired and stained, we only had one coffee pod and one towel when we arrived. This was addressed, but the next day, although the room was cleaned and towels replaced, there were no coffee pods and the dirty cups had been left. Biggest problem is that there is no reception, so you might bump into someone, otherwise it's all by email which is daft. I'd have to say that this was a budget hotel at a 4 star price.

We realized we are taking a room in the middle of town and did not expect much in conveniences. However, no English or German Television; and internet that didn't work more often than it did made staying in the room at night tough after a good day of walking the city. Our room door blocked the opening of the closet door to the point that we had to put items into the closet via a half opened door. The room was small and I truly wondered if this was the "upgraded" room!

Close to historic old town and great food. The room was quite small and just above the restaurant which was fine when it was closed but could hear them in our room when it was open. There is no lobby or front desk for assistance so it is a contactless entry.

Lovely family-owned hotel in the centre of town, very conveniently located (20 min to train station, 10 min to bus station and with a convenient tram stop 7 or 8 min nearby). The cathedral is 5 min away, and there are lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood (including at the ground floor of the hotel). The hotel itself has no reception, so keep an eye for instructions re arrival and the pin to gain access. You can leave luggage and go out. My triple room had a bath, which was very nice, and the radiator and hot water worked well. All very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. My dad’s single room was great too. The walls are a bit thin so neighbours watching tv were a bit annoying, but that’s life. Overall, a very nice stay, and I would certainly consider coming back. Strasbourg is an expensive city where hotels are concerned, and this was quite good value.

Absolutely spectacular location, wonderful staff, and couldn't have asked for a better welcome. The rooms are not terribly insulated, and it's easy to hear through the walls, but we were lucky to have quiet neighbors! However, the hotel staff, location, and comfort of the rooms make this well worth an overnight or three!

As long as you have reservations and can check email for instructions on the day of your arrival, you'll be fine. There is usually no staff available. I had a single room, which was small, but clean and had everything I needed. Hotel is located in a very safe, clean, quiet area, yet close to everything. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel, and tram D stop within a few blocks. I was able to walk from train station with rolling luggage in about 15 to 20 minutes i would stay here again.

Great location but needs luggage storage.
Location is great and rooms are fine, however we arrived before check in with luggage that we wanted to leave. The hotel was unstaffed and only the cleaning lady was present. There didn’t seem to be a procedure in place for luggage storage. We left our stuff with her but it didn’t inspire confidence. In the end everything was fine and we had a nice stay.

Very good location with fair price
The hotel does not look attractive from outside, which is upper floor of a restaurant and you need to learn the access code in advance, cause there is no one around to open the door for you, we waited like 15 minutes in front of the hotel till another guest came out so that we were able to get in. Although we had difficulties in the beginning we liked the hotel and the room, it was a medium sized room having all the basic things, considering the price it was above our expectations. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to everyone especially taking into account the location which is in the heart of the city and close to everything.

do not assume your room will include electricity
Came back to the room after dinner, only to find there was no electricity in our room! The guest next door arrived shortly after, and her room was also affected. The both of us desperately tried calling the emergency numbers given to us at check-in. One of them rang to the phone we were standing next to in the hallway! The other line was never picked up. (There is no overnight staff physically present, apparently). We packed up and left, spent the night in the train station, so we could have access to any power source. Made an additional trip that next morning to discuss what happened, and still there was no staff on site! I couldn’t even let anyone know we were leaving (we prepaid through hotels.com), and simply hung our room key on the pegboard by the door. And hotels.com has been extremely unhelpful about this, we would like a refund for the night our room was not habitable, they are suggesting a credit for future booking, as if I would ever use their service again.
