What I didn't appreciate was that it was old, the sheets and pillows smell, particularly the bathroom was a bit old and the shower floor was a little dirty, some fungus

The hotel was good overall. We were placed in the left side the building where there is construction going on. It’s obscured with a high fence.
The gym was nice and air conditioned.
The staff was nice.
The breakfast was good.

I like the location is next to Paseo Montejo, My room was not very clean, I found dirt under the bed and hair in corners. Place is beautiful has a Starbucks cafeteria inside next to the pool and a restaurant very convenient for having a late dinne. Just the cleaning issue was sad.

Friendly staff, went out of their way to help me find a laundromat that worked on a weekend.
The only complaint I have is that they would only leave us two towels every single time they cleaned the room, even though it was four of us -- had to request two additional towels every day.

The Air conditioner did not work. The room was starting to mold. We changed rooms and no mold but air conditioning barely working. Bathroom was in major need of repair and upgrade.
Property could be great. Needs a renovation.
Staff was very nice and accommodating. I ended up leaving and finding a different hotel.

The maintenance of the facility could be improved. For example, the smoke detector in room was missing but the mount was on the wall. An addition of a bar fridge would be nice for cold beverages.

What a terrible experience. Lets start (i) reception lack of enough personnel, only 2 people at 10pm, they were clearly exhausted and in bad mood (ii) the room was disgusting, we found 2 cockroaches, the room was humid and full of moths, the ac smell terrible. (iii) we got another room but it wasnt better, the shower had mold and we found a tick. (iv) next morning the restaurant ran out of coffee at 9am, yes they ran out of coffee. Simply the worst hotel ever! Avoid it at all cost
