Villa Chitchareune

It was very conveniently located. They lack English speaking abilities. Make a lot of effort to make you feel comfortable. As toilet has no ventilation/exhaust fan and the top part is open to the room can get uncomfortable.

Beautiful little family run hotel with very friendly staff and fantastic location in the old town. It is right beside the Mekong River which is only a few short steps the river down a little lane. The building itself is a beautiful French style 19th century villa with large and comfortable rooms. The hotel is located just a short walk from the night market, restaurants and all of the main attractions in Luang Prabang including the royal palace and Mount Phushi. Rooms are really large and impressive. Our room had a Jacuzzi bath as well ss a large shower area and large king size bed. The room was decorated very well. Air conditioning was excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. They have bikes and motorbike /Scooter hire was just next door and the staff arranged to put our hire motorbycle safely away overnight. Breakfast was fantastic with coffee, croissants and fruit as well as a choice of fried eggs and toast. Also when we were let down by our taxi to the airport the hotel quickly arranged another taxi at a very good price within ten minutes avoiding any worry or stress.

Quiet and relaxing place to stay. Close to the river and downtown area. Very enjoyable!

Good hotel and good price. We had an unexpected cold and rainy stay and hotel had no heat! But it is Loas so that's super rare. Room seemed to hold the cold though with really high ceilings. Probably great when it's normally hot. But I didn't get the chance to experience that!
