Cornerstone Lodge

It was disappointing. This place needs some TLC desperately. Carpets are worn and everything is dated. The worst part of it were the mice! Lots of them. We didn’t stay there too many nights but figured out the mice were there in our last night when we returned and saw them scurry. I think it was due to Covid hours, but the front desk was in another hotel and only opened until 4pm so what to do? We picked the spot for the location and amenities but in hindsight, we should have gone closer to town. Much of the amenities were closed. No zip line! Walking around the hotel, the people living around the resort were friendly but the staff were not. Most of the questions we had were answered by locals and not staff who appeared annoyed for having to be stopped and asked.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Cornerstone Lodge. We stayed in a third floor room, which was a large two bedroom, two bathroom suite. The unit was very large with extremely high ceilings. It had some updates with new flooring, but could have used some new armchairs and balcony furniture. The room was very clean (Except for the deck) and the large kitchen was well appointed. We appreciated the underground parking, A/C and the reliable wi-fi. The view from the deck was lovely. We really enjoyed exploring some of the hikes on the hill. This lodge was also a quick drive into Fernie.

Perfect two bedroom sweet for family of four. Could not be closer to the lifts. Nothing fancy but it did the trick.

Nice location, but property could use some maintenance. Lots of little issues: lightbulbs burnt out, shower faucet malfunctioning, kettle broken, carpet worn, ceiling fan didn't work, air conditioning units only worked intermittently, walls very marked up. Kitchen was nicely equipped.

Terrible bed and cot. Great location for mountain access.

Great location ; would be great if they provided access to swimming pool ( spa was tiny )

Stayed at the Cornerstone for 2 nights. Room was clean and kitchen was stocked with the usual pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker found in these types of rentals. Spa was clean and was so relaxing after a day on the slopes. We had a great time and will be back.

Will come back again.

Great location with ski-in, ski-out! No issues at all with property. Roomy and clean. Washer/dryer in room a bonus.

The staff at the lodge were friendly and helpful. We we traveling with kids and was easy for them to get to the slopes and back in the morning and at lunch. Also felt safe letting them wonder the base village, great spot for families!!
