We found our stay at the WyCliffe Guest House to be extremely pleasant and comfortable. The manager and owner (I guess) was very nice and the breakfast was very good. We can highly recommend this accommodation and would book there again on our next visit to England.

Lovely guesthouse

Lovely guesthouse within a short walk to the beach. Had a friendly welcome, and a comfortable, cosy stay with a great breakfast.

I can’t fault this guest house , lots of choice for breakfast and well prepared. Quite location and easy walking distance to Folkestone town centre

Stayed in Folkestone many times. This is the best!

Great place to stay for an overnight trip. The hostess was lovely and let us park early before check in. We got an upgrade too! Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on that, but the hotel was clean, comfortable to a very high standard, and had everything we needed. We will stay again when we are in Folkestone.

Pleasant stay and helpful location

Great location for Eurotunnel, and has off road parking which is helpful. Pleasant check in and helpful staff member. Only issue was shower pressure, very low but still functional
Lloyd, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed at the Wycliffe before jumping onto the eurotunnel, rooms were clean and the landlady very friendly. Would recommend the hearty breakfast and the location 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the eurotunnel. Alltogether a good spot and was a nice rest after travelling down from Manchester before France

8/10 Very good

Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Breakfast was good and staff polite and helpful.

Tried the shower this morning and couldn’t get any warm water. Bed was very comfortable 😴

Good guest house in Folkstone

Very warm welcome. Room was family room and we found it excelent for our needs, small barthroom but all very clean and functional. Beds very comfortable and nice quiet room. breakfast very organised and good quality.

Haven’t stayed in a guest house for a while: how refreshing, so much better than the stale old hotel chains, et al. Lovely attentive landlady, fabulous location near sea front, dog friendly, parking outside, bar available, just smashing. Good luck in keeping places like this going, loved it. T

Excellent!

Very close to seafront and town, this is a lovely guest house. Parking on premises, a nice garden when the weather is good. Spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and very pleasant hosts. What’s not to like?

Catching Eurostar early morning

Great hotel, very friendly and helpful welcome when we arrived. Was able to bring the motorcycles into the garden for extra security. Would highly recommend this hotel. Tea and coffee in the room was much appreciated 👍

Comfy, peaceful stay

Lovely stay, only one night as travelling to Europe, but very friendly host who greeted us and made sure our stay was comfortable. Very peaceful area, only noise was the seagulls! Nice breakfast, we had English, but loads of other options available. Comfy bed, plenty of storage space, ensuite small but adequate. Dogs very welcome!
Jackie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Lovely staff and great breakfast. We were on the top floor which was tough getting our bags up. We were the only people on that floor so had the bathroom to ourselves.

Clean, comfortable and perfect

Absolutely perfect place, so friendly and accommodating. Extremely clean amazing large rooms. Perfect poached eggs for breakfast . So close to channel tunnel we will definitely be back. Loved it!
Valerie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The guest house is very handily located with lots of dining options a minute or two away on foot. It's also spotlessly clean and very well run. We would have rated it 5-stars but with temperatures overnight in the single digits there was no heating on in any of the common areas - including the breakfast room in the morning - which was rather surprising.
Michael, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely place for a break.

Only stayed one night, but it was comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and good. My only slight disappointment was that the private bathroom was separate from the bedroom, but still reserved only for us. The Hotels.com website said separate 'bedroom', not bathroom. Only a minor matter, otherwise everything good.
Ian, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely, but

Lovely guest hotel with a very friendly and helpful host. But the room having a very small toilet room next door is not ensuite, the toilet roll holder was a battle to get any toilet paper and the low ceilings meant several bumped heads. Breakfast was rather ordinary.
Terence, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Easy to find. Off street parking. Friendly welcome from the hostess. Good pub Radnor Arms within a short walk. Despite being near a main road and the town centre, we had a quiet stay although we could hear electric macerators from other rooms' en suite bathrooms.
