Lancaster Court Motel

Not a proper kitchenette! Overall disappointing...

I was really excited to be staying in a motel for $77 (a non-refundable 'special' - the rooms for this motel are generally dearer) which was advertised as having a kitchenette. I was a bit shocked to find that there was just a pretty standard hutch with a microwave, jug and toaster. No separate sink to the bathroom which is really what a kitchenette is. My room had an old style "wall rattler" air conditioner that was not only noisy, it wasn't effective. It is early Spring and couldn't cool the room, I would not want to be there in Summer! There were some positives - the bed linen and towels were fresh and the small room was very clean. The bar fridge was cold, the shower a good pressure and hot. The owners were mostly friendly... The furniture and decor was very dated though. The cane and cushion 2 seater "love chair" screamed 1979. The bed kind of sagged when you say on it. Apart from the price, the rating of 'superb' on the hotels.com website prompted me to book a night. I will never understand how the motel got this rating. I found it problematic that I was asked to fill out a form with my credit card details "for security" when not only did the room not have a stocked bar fridge, it didn't even have a hair dryer in there! I honestly can't recommend this motel. Particularly in the age of Covid 19, some very nice motels/ hotels are being offered around the $75 - $85 mark that include free parking. No way should they advertise a kitchenette!

There is everything you need to call this place home. Comfortable, clean studio apartment with balcony. Clean swimming pool and relaxation. Close to supermarket, bus and train.

Visiting family

I have stayed at The Lancaster Court on several occasions and always found it to be convenient and comfortable. It is in a convenient location with a variety of options for dinner close by. The staff have always been very helpful and there is plenty of parking

The staff were friend and very helpful, room was clean and comfortable, only down side the water pressure was lacking when after a long drive u wanted a gd shower.
