I arrived in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday, May 21st, with the intention of staying at the resort through Sunday, May 27th:
I had some delays with my flight, and each time I tried to call Leona Vincent to inform her of my new arrival time, I was met with angst and an overall negative demeanor. I was nervous my flight had been changed, and as I tried to express this to Mrs. Vincent, she seemed more angry and disgusted with me, as though it was my fault.
When I arrived, the trip only got worse. Mrs. Vincent began to monitor who I invited over to my hotel. At one point, my key broke, and I asked her to leave the front gate open. When I first got to the resort, she told me that she always leaves the front gate open. However, when my key broke, she insisted I ring her bell. Each night,I was forced to ring the bell several times just to get her to come down and open the gate.
The final straw was when she told my fiance that he could not come visit me.This trip was meant to be a pleasant event, and an opportunity to reconnect with my family, and Mrs. Vincent made that nearly impossible. At one point, she stated that I wouldn't get any refund from Expedia if I decided to leave early, and I know this isn't the case.
In summary, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent (Len and Leona) are not the most accommodating hosts, and in all honesty, they shouldn't be in business.
