Abbadia Sicille

Overall the place was nice and relaxing. We had a hard time finding the check in at first. The restaurant wasn’t open both nights we were there. There was no ac just a fan.

We were very happy with the accommodations and location. Since I’ve stayed at Abbadia Sicille twice before, I was expecting the same wonderful breakfasts. We were very disappointed with the food: cold, undercooked eggs, lack of selection of breads/ pastries, and cold coffee. Espresso was hot. Wonderful staff. Wi-Fi was available only in the Reception area which wasn’t always available.

The property is beautiful and the rooms and the main building have a lot of character. Areas of improvement are: general cleanliness, rooms amenities (coffee & tea not available), breakfast time.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Breakfast was good. Wish they served dinner as the hotel is a bit far from restaurants. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing! Hotel is a 400 year old former monastery in the heart of Tuscany. Our room was huge- large bedroom, living area and kitchenette. Old world charm to the room and very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Great breakfast with dining area overlooking Tuscan hills. Again, the best part is the location, you're staying in a castle with nobody around you in the middle of Tuscany. Only stayed one nite, but if ever back in this area will stay several days.

We just loved our stay at Abbadia Sicille, from the beautiful surroundings to the relaxed and helpful staff - most noteably the lady on reception who went out of her way to assist with convinient check-in / out and lots of information during our stay. The hotel itself was delightful, beautiful gardens, quaint breakfast hosted in an old court yard, where growing was the best Wisteria I have seen in years! There is no on site restaurant, so if you arrive late in the day make sure you bring your own provisions. While the rooms could be finessed, the faults did not detract from what turned out to be a wonderful break in a small friendly hotel in the Tuscany hills.

Basically it was a monastery many centuries ago. In general the suite/room allocated to us was quite disappointing after viewing many great photos while booking here. The location is in the middle of no where. The view of the property is okay, the room and breakfast was below par and relatively pricey among of all the hotels we stayed in Toscana, unfortunately.

Bellissima struttura. Abbiamo alloggiato nella royal suite con vasca idromassaggio nel piano soppalcato. Ambienti ampi, pulitissimi e con riscaldamento autonomo. Peccato perdersi nelle sciocchezze: no crema idratante, no accappatoi e ciabattine. Colazione pagata a parte 12 euro a persona per 2 fette biscottate, 1 tramezzino, lo yogurth del discount e poco altro e....il caffè in più da pagare a parte per la cialda Lavazza!!! Il ristorante annesso è buono ma con prezzi esagerati: 1 fetta di fungo porcino arrosto 9 euro! Giriamo spesso e quando paghi abbastanza per la camera, non ti aspetti altre "legnate". ....La colazione è servita in camera per il covid, ma non per questo deve essere così misera o almeno non a questo prezzo! Consiglio la struttura, ma visto che c'è una cucina ci si può organizzare, almeno per la colazione. Buono la mezza bottiglia di prosecco offerta ed il biscotto.
