Easy check in, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Stunning views, the place is kept clean at a high standard. Well run by the manager. We had some amazing food, the chef was creative and we loved what he created for us even though the restaurant wasn't officially open yet. We will definitely return. A hidden gem.
We had a wonderful stay. The owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. The whole ambiance of the property was comfortable, relaxing and secure, and the view over the Knysna river and lagoon from the patio was fantastic. The breakfast was very good quality, and in fact our whole stay was incredibly good value. We only stayed one night as we were moving on to an Airbnb previously booked, however wished we had found this sooner as we would have loved to have stayed longer, it was so good.

Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist exzellent und abends kann man zum Essen ins Blue Butterfly fahren mit dem schönsten Sonnenuntergang. Beautiful, Affordable, but with Limitations
Extraordinary and spectacular classical Italianate structures atop the highest hill in Knysna. Quiet, peaceful, and the photo of the beautiful sunset was taken from the property. Our room was like a honeymoon suite, complete with four poster bed and private terrace with fabulous view. But it's a quirky, albeit charming property, and furnishings, flooring, and the breakfast buffet could all use an update. Francoise is a sweet, caring manager, but there is no staff after 8pm and a well-stocked honor bar is it.

The location and the views are spectacular. Very nice breakfast, but coffee not nice. Very friendly host. We could not get enough of the spectacular view. However this is not a 5 Star at all. Urgent update and upgrade in rooms required. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

You’ll love it!
You must stay here!! The views are amazing and the breakfasts are delicious. We received such a warm welcome from Werner. He made our stay so special. He even gave us a free upgrade and always gave us good advice about what to see and do in the area. If you like homemade fudge and shortbread then this is the place for you. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
