I would have given this review a fabulous rating. Normally I love their desk staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, management … in fact, I feel they are the best in the area. Everything was perfect this time until checkout. Last Friday at about 10:30, I checked out as usual. Due to the fact I have had hotel items taken from my room after I had checked out, I prefer to make sure I am checked out when I leave a hotel. The lady at the desk was on the phone with someone wanting a rate.I waited. After about 5 minutes, she put the person on hold and I told her I was checking out and handed her my card. She rolled her eyes and put the card in the card with the other self checkout cards. I left and put my luggage in the car. I then came back. She was on the phone. I talked with another guest (who eventually left after he said he didn’t have time), I thanked the kitchen staff (they truly are great), and a little over 10 minutes later she put the person on hold. I asked her if she would check me out and explained why, and she (seeming quite irritated with my request), told me she would after she got off the phone. This is not normal for this hotel, but it left me frustrated. Hopefully, she was just having a bad day and this wasn’t her normal encounter with a guest.
