Discovery Inn at 681 Ocean Drive

This was a complete disappointment! I rarely write a review but I felt I wouldn't like for somebody else to go through this terrible experience. When we got to the "hotel", the air conditioner was not working (room was extremely hot), we unsuccessfully tried to turn it on and called to notify the issue just to be told she will let the owner know. As we were waiting in that sauna to get an answer/call back, my husband found that the brake box was off and fix it himself; we were called 42 min later by the same lady (she apparently had no solution at that moment yet but we told her we managed to turn on the AC) Also, cockroaches were everywhere!!! I chose a king bed for me and my husband... bed was super hard, only had one pillow which was stinky (this was the worse!) towels were in sooo bad condition (stained, old, smelling bad) I used my beach towels (I'm glad I decided to take one with me from home) I was expecting to have a window with a view of the ocean as the pictures showed, but to my disappointment, my room didn't have a window to the back although I could always take a pick from the tiny window in the bathroom that had the blinds already broken I think from a preview renter in the effort to look out. Pool was guarded by a small dog and deck was filthy so we decided better not to use it. I do NOT recommend this place! look around! there are plenty of good places to stay

Very displeased with the customer service we received! We called and complained about the roach problem we noticed after being there for 10 min. They offered to move us to the room next to us which had more roaches. We obviously declined! Woman on phone asked us what they can do for us, well since they were no other rooms we can go to at 9PM in the area we figured we would sleep with all the lights on leave our luggage in the car so nothing would crawl in there and not rebook again, The least they could’ve did was gave us a phone call back and a discount! The woman stated she was going to speak to someone and give us a call back. That NEVER happened! They had the nerve to charge over $100 to sleep with roaches!

Not as expected…. Pictures can be tricky

The parking was near the street, not comfort, my car expose. Room was comfy but bed and shower was bad. The pool entrance was through a private room our stairs made from blocks one on top of the other, no safe..

Amazing experience

Amazing and breath taking experience while staying here, it’s close to my family and the driving was so easy to get here. I definitely recommend and will come back

Disappointed

To Begin, I arrived late in the night due to flight delay. There were no one to do a check In and didn’t know where was a key. The Parking was on the street and didn’t know where to park. The second day someone started knocking on the doors looking for someone at 3am. For the price is not worth and don’t recommend it.

Location was good. No soap holder. No towel holder. Internet connection was slow and intermittent. Weak microwave. We had problems with the shower. Even though we have communication with the people in charge, the effectiveness and service were not there.
