Don’t ever book anything below Captains room. Windows do not open unless your room has a balcony, keep it in mind. And forget about gift shop. They simply have no any.

For anyone looking for the QE2 experience, this is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. My Queen Bed, Balcony (Captain's) room was clean and stylish-- great job on the decor! The breakfast was terrific-- both for the food and dining area. It can be a bit difficult to find your way around the ship at first and the location is fairly inconvenient-- very much so if you do not have a car. Overall, I loved the experience and would definitely return.

Great experience on a historic ship
The qe2 is what you expect in an old boat but it’s really nostalgic and preserved in the right way, couldn’t fault it,
The only advice is that there is huge construction happening which makes it awkward plus nearest metro station is a 15 min walk through it all, so taxis are required even through there are some free shuttles once a day to the mall and a beach,

Unique hotel and historical landmark .
Rooms clean and lovely like the pictues and we were upgraded to a larger for as booked a long stay to a deluxe.
Kids enjoyed single twin room only thing lacking was a mini fridge and maybe some bedside tables.
Staff from front desk and concierge couldnt do enough to help even managed to rang my taxi while enroute to the airport when i left my phone behind.
They put on a free bus to dubai mall and metro station daily .
Only flaw is the current accessibility due to major road works going on walking around is not possible and made us reliant on taxis lucky enough these are relatively cheap in dubai.
Once the works are finished next year this will be even better. We did walk on the marina and found a few shops and ate at a restaurant there.
The ship is from 70s but updated and renovated but if your looking for marble floors ect then
We ate at lido resturant once food was good pulled beef roll amazing curry and biryiani good . The pizza could be better.
The pool is the origional small for the size of the boat but deep. Gym there is fine .
Overall we enjoyed our stay staff were excellent and the only thing letting this hotel down is the current roadworks being done not hotels fault making getting around slower and not walkable to main attractions nearby.
For the price it was well worth it

Overall the experience was average, the ship needs a lot of work to update it, it smells musty.
The buffet restaurant is excellent, great food and welcoming atmosphere.
That needs to be replicqted in other areas of the ship

Great venue but slightly disappointing. I understand there are significant refurbishments being made and these will make it a top notch destination but for the moment it’s a little soulless. I think if more restaurants open and the first class bar reopens this will make a huge difference. Staff were first rate and the room very clean.
