We were sent a message to provide our arrival details by email or phone, but given no email address. The website has neither an email nor a phone number. We couldn't phone, so we sent the info via Expedia, and received no answer. When we arrived at 1:30 pm, the door was locked and no one was in the building. We were told when we phoned (at our expense), that check in starts at 2 - even though the Expedia listing says 1 pm and the sign inside says 1:30 pm, and we provided our arrival details as requested.
The building is covered in scaffolding which completely negates the reason we chose this property - the view. We could have chosen one of many other sea view guest houses, and the photos/information provided on Expedia gave no indication that our view would be obstructed. There was also a promise of black-out curtains, but there were only flimsy IKEA style cotton drapes and our room was bathed in light at 4 am.
The hot water was almost nonexistent - a trickle. The taps weren't properly secured to the sink.
Everything was quite dingy.
We saw a young woman in the office one of the three days we stayed, but not another soul the rest of the time. We did hear a dog barking somewhere inside the house, though.
