We love this area, we probably visit this area 6-10 times a year, lots to do if you're looking for laid back places and adventures. If you're into antiques, yard sales, flea markets, hiking, or history this is a great area.

Excellent
Cute town with a lot of dining, shopping and activity options. Not a lot of late night scene--but try to find the Roadhouse--it's run by an Elvis impersonator who sometimes performs and is a blast.

No big city traffic jams or hoards of people here. Almost Mayberry RFD.

Clayton is an interesting town with a wide variety of things to see and do.
"We did enjoy our time at this property. The floor above us is paper thin, so we woke up with the family above us much earlier than we hoped. The lobby area was beautiful. The rooms are nice. The bathroom had some mold around the tub, but overall clean. Our patio off of our room could have been brushed off. A good bit of spider webs. The Oak restaurant on property was phenomenal. It was easy to rent a jet ski and get on the water. Great staff all around. Would come back!"
"arrived quite late, first time at this hotel. The gentleman at desk couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating to answer my inquiries. Certainly will return "
"This hotel is at the far end of the town, so it was a bit far to walk to the downtown area. It is, however located across from a Waterpark and the Festhall where the Oktoberfest celebration starts. Outdoor pool available. Breakfast was homemade waffles, etc... overall, good experience."
"Amazing views from this hotel. Highly recommend. Staff was all very friendly and courteous. Room was clean and loved the location of the hotel. Plan on coming back in the fall."
