The resort was very damaged from previous hurricanes, and it was disappointing how un tidied up it still was. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms/apartments themselves were great and no complaints. The lack of restaurants , spa area and access to a nice beach were very disappointing.

Most of the staff were super helpful and most were very friendly. The place itself is very old and needs to be upgraded. The boat needs to be replaced, engine stopped while we were out in the ocean. It was scary for my family but the staff on board were resilient. It was not their fault. The boat is super old. The gym equipment is very old, needs upgrade. The arts & craft were minimal and needs to purchase more supplies Again, staff was great but the supplies were low. The gift shop had virtually no sizes. The small beach access had very old chairs and no umbrellas. Towels scarce. It was not at all what I expected. We made the most of it for 8 days. I did not complain because we were out of the county and the did not want any problems for my family so we did our best to enjoy. I would not stay there again.

FDR is a resort where families come back year after year. The staff is amazing and makes you feel at home. The food is great (especially for an all inclusive). The drinks are good (not cheap bad tasting alcohol). The kids have fun as they become friends with the other kids at the resort. And for the parents, it’s great to feel like you’re on vacation and not just parenting on vacation. The Nannie’s are a huge help. The rooms are very spacious with the kids having their own separate sleeping space and bathroom. The resort has remarkably recovered from Hurricane Melissa with the storm not impacting our stay at all. It was our second year in a row here. We love it (and so do our kids)!

Lovely boutique hotel with family friendly service. Beach on property is not the best for swimming but great beaches are literally next door. Food and service is great, with rooms/suites conveniently fitted with small fridge and microwave. Furniture could use some updates. Nanny service and activities for kids is a big plus.

This property was a beautiful way to see the island for the first time. Lovely surroundings showing you the beauty and natural land of Jamaica. Staff is beyond wonderful helpful and very friendly. This is a kid friendly resort with nannies on the property to tend to those who have families and will give you an authentic Jamaican experience.
