I booked two rooms nearly six months in advance for a concert weekend in Columbus, and Hotels.com confirmed my reservation—even sending a standard check-in reminder days before arrival. Upon arriving, the property informed me that they had canceled my reservation, claiming they notified Hotels.com. However, Hotels.com verified that no such notification was ever sent.
It is clear the manager canceled long-standing reservations simply to resell the rooms to last-minute guests at extreme event-rate markups. The property manager demonstrated complete dishonesty, and the front desk staff was dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. These unethical business practices deliberately exploit customers. I visit this area frequently and will never consider staying here again, nor would I ever recommend this property.
