I have stayed here once before and loved it, which made this second visit especially disappointing.
Upon arrival, the fireplace in Room 125 was not working and no hand soap. When I tried to call the front desk using the room phone, the front desk button didn’t work. I then tried calling from my personal cell phone, but there was no service in the room—even when connected to the hotel’s WiFi. I ended up driving to the front desk to ask for help and to say that the room phone was not working. I was told, “You’re supposed to press zero—we got a new phone system,” which was not communicated anywhere in the room.
Throughout the evening, there were guests outside arguing loudly, and at one point the police were called to address the situation. I happened to be at the front office at that time requesting a room change due to the excessive noise from the room above us—constant stomping, showering, toilet flushing, and personal activities that were clearly audible. Even our own bed and room floor sounded like it might collapse any moment.
Unfortunately, the night staff member, Chase, explained that he was only there to complete the night audit and did not have the authority to move us to another room. He was also unable to provide earplugs. At that point, we just wanted to leave.
We waited until 9 a.m. to speak with the manager, Stephanie, who did assist us in canceling our second night, which we appreciated. However, overall this stay was a waste of time and money.
