Nice place but no sleep
The night porter was very friendly and helpful when we arrived late.
The disinfectant smell was quite prominent and showed that cleanliness was a clear priority at this hotel.
The rooms were spacious, modernised and very comfortable.
There was a fridge, ironing board, small table and extra pillows in the room. All great additions. There was also coffee making facilities but unfortunately no stir sticks were provided to stir the hot coffee.
We would have given a 5 star rating apart from the fact that we were constantly woken by our telephone which kept ringing throughout the night. When we complained at checkout, we were told that there was an issue with the phone system on the second floor and as a result, they couldn't rent out any rooms on that floor.
Clearly, this isn't only a problem on the second floor. We didn't get much sleep at all, missed breakfast because we were so tired, it ruined our day the next day and we weren't even offered a discount for having no sleep or food. Such a pity.
