Our visit was great but our trip to the island was made difficult by high winds. The ferry from Campobello couldn’t make the trip to Deer Island which necessitated our driving way around thru Calais ME, some 2 1/2 hours to ride the government ferry out of Le’tete NB. Catching that ferry was a big worry to meet our scheduled, prepaid stay requirement. Also there were no restaurants open on the island either that night nor the morning after.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a small refrigerator and everything needed to make a cup of coffee. It’s a nice, cozy place to rest your head. The bathroom was modern and spotless. The restaurant located before the rooms was also very clean and offered a nice variety of menu options. Everyone we encountered was kind, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great option for a single night stay as part of a vacation in South west NB. Deer Island is very quaint, with lovely views and lots of cute deer. Room is very clean, very large bathroom with great shower. Bed and pillows very comfy. Rooms are up a flight of stairs but no big deal. Restaurant downstairs has very good food at very reasonable prices. Only hiccup was that even though the Hotels.com listing says no payment in advance, they charged my card 50% at booking. When I had to change the date of our stay, canceling one reservation and making another, I had to initiate a refund. I did receive the refund but I would recommend having this specified on the listing.

Great boutique hotel with all the coastal vibes! Just upstairs form the Capsill resturant and a short drive from the Deer Island ferry terminal. Brand new and well decorated. Very comfy bed and pillows

Loved the cleanliness of the room and restaurant. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Loved having the restaurant and a gift shop in the same building. I would suggest a grab bar outside the shower/tub and availability of ice on the floor.

This place was a phenomenal stay, we truly felt at home even away from home. Everyone was so kind, pleasant and friendly! The room was beautiful and so easy to navigate, we absolutely loved our stay! The pricing is very affordable, as well as a beautiful room! We are beyond grateful and thankful to have such beautiful and amazing stay here! Highly recommended!

Road Trip Maritimes

Amazing place to stay in Deer Island, this was an overnight stay in our way to St. Andrew’s by the Sea. The hotel looks very simple from the outside; However, the rooms are spacious, very new or recently renovated and super clean. Very quiet and the best is the Ferry access running often from early morning to nights. Not many food options other than the hotel restaurant.

The room was clean and well appointed. I was happy with the accomodations...once I got in. I was emailed the day before I checked in with a pin number that was supposed to work for the main door and my room. Cool. It was pouring out when I arrived. I hauled my luggage and bags up a flight of stairs on the exterior of the building outside and got into the building ,only to find that it didn't work for my door. There's no management office in sight. There's no telephone number to call my reservation. Only an email address. I sent an email asking someone to contact me right away, and nobody ever did. Thankfully, as it would turn out there is a cafe on the first floor of the building. I asked a person there if they knew how to get a hold of management and it turned out that one of the staff members was able to help me. But nobody ever answered my email. The cafe closed shortly after she helped me. If I had gotten there any later, I would have wound up sleeping in my car. The woman that helped me get into my room was very nice. The people that manage the room and sent me the pin and didn't answer my email, we'e not.

Immaculate , seemingly brand new lodging , very comfortable with an independent , cheerful vibe that might not be evident from the wooded and very simple exterior . Spacious and reasonably priced , a very positive stay . Attached restaurant downstairs serves delicious and well prepared breakfast and a killer Caesar

Room was nice and clean. It was very quaint and charming on deer island which we had to take a free 20 min ferry to get to from L’Etete. Restaurant on the ground floor called Cap Sill had great lobster. The island is very picturesque and we even saw 2 deers during our walk. I’d recommend it.

Awesome Island hotel

I booked this hotel not knowing I had to take a ferry onto the island it sits. This was very easy cheesy to do at 9:30 at night. We drove to our hotel upon arriving the owner, contacted me by phone to make sure everything was all good. Excellent service the place was beautiful.

Amazing facility with charming, authentic nautical decor including lobster pot chairs and knot art in the passageway. Attached restaurant and affiliated convenience store and Boatique. I look forward to my return.

This property was conveniently located 5 min away from the Deer Island ferry. Facilities were spotless. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything appeared brand new and of good quality. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were luxurious. Conveniently located to 2 of Deer Islands restaurants and Bellas general store. Excellent experience and highly recommended.
