I stayed 9 nights here...the location is decent as it's around 10-15 minutes in the car.
However, this hotel is plagued with problems.
PS. One of the staff members (housekeeping) insisted on leaving a review for the hotel so here goes...
Staff and Hotel:
- Limited English spoken by receptionist and most staff
- Restaurant and other facilities are not actually available, but advertised
- Staff lounging about in corridors playing music, having loud conversations when guests are in their rooms (they should use a separate staff break-out area to have their breaks).
- Reception are very slow to respond (most of the time)
Guests:
- Most are uncouth and extremely impolite. On more than one occasion, guests were banging on my door thinking I was someone else (I guess they were just going around banging on all the doors until they found their friend).
- The lifts are mostly filled up straightaway after prayers, and there's usually shouting in the hallway from guests who don't know how to behave. The hotel must take responsibility for this and manage guests more effectively.
Shuttle Bus Service:
- It can take a good 1 hour to catch a shuttle bus back to the hotel after Isha. Lots of locals are randomly jumping on the shuttle bus and it's absolute chaos. Guests at the hotel are kept waiting for the next one, or you can settle for being squashed like a pancake in the existing shuttle bus.
- The drivers are incredibly rude and uncouth. Terrible manners who treat guests like cattle.
