Great budget option near the airport.
A very convenient smart budget hotel. Head and shoulders better than the bigger chains with modern facilities and a very good breakfast. We arrived late into Nantes airport as part of a longer trip and needed a quick overnight spot and this was perfect.

Not value for money - avoid
The positives: the hotel is clean. Housekeeping staff are friendly and work hard to keep the place nice. The location is good for shopping in Atlantic mall. The room was quiet. The negatives: the reception staff are ok but despite being Expedia VIP gold status I could not secure an early check in or late check out as they said they were full. They were certainly not full when I arrived. Check in time is not until 3! I got reminded the night before check out by reception that the hotel was full the next day and at 10am on day of check out there was a knock on the door telling me they need to clean the room and asked if I could leave. Check out time is 12 so I said no and left at 11h30. The hotel is near nothing much other than one large shopping mall. The room is small and the shower had no power. Intermittent hot water. The room lights did not all work and I had to ask reception to check. The bed was so uncomfortable. The breakfast was boring and the same every day. For 12.50 euro it’s better to go eat out. There was no sense of welcome or vibe at this hotel it was like a morgue. There is some take over happening on 1/10 to another brand/management.

Je souhaite exprimer ma satisfaction après mon séjour à l'hôtel Akena Nantes Atlantis. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été très bien accueillis, ce qui nous a mis tout de suite à l'aise. L'hôtel est très calme. Les chambres sont confortables et bien équipées, et l'ensemble de l'établissement est très agréable. De plus, l'hôtel bénéficie d'une excellente accessibilité, ce qui est un vrai plus. Mon mari et moi avons passé un séjour très agréable et nous nous sommes sentis parfaitement à l'aise. J'y ai passé une nuit seul après une très longue route, mais malheureusement il faisait froid dans la chambre. Le thermostat bloqué et forte brise hivernale venant de la fenêtre ont contribué a une mauvaise nuit. A part ça c'était propre et le personnel agréable
