3 Nights in Seoul
Mixed feelings about this review. I've stayed here in 2022 and really enjoyed it back then so I chose to stay again for 3 nights. I was a little disappointed this time around. I'll explain the pros and cons, for me:
Pros: staff are really friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were seamless and they store luggage, if needed. The room is very spacious (deluxe King room) and the bed is very comfortable. The location is not too far from Seoul station and about 15m walk to Myeongdong area.
Cons: the location itself doesn't have a convenience store that opens late nearby. The room feels a little dated compared to other hotels nowadays (the light switch to control all lights isn't by the bed. The lamps and lighting look a bit dated and yellowish). The walls must be a little thin because I didn't sleep well as I was awoken several times through the night by other guests making lots of noise, running, talking loudly in the hallway, and doors slamming, etc. I think housekeeping starts too early too (maybe even 730am? 8am?), as I can hear them loudly as they do the work with the doors open. And when they're done they slam (all doors must be heavy and slam shut).
Overall, it's a very nice hotel and in a good location. But I paid a bit more in choosing this one and left feeling a bit disappointed. I would probably choose another option for my next visit to Seoul as I've stayed in others as well, literally a block away.
Overall, 8/10 for me this time around.
