Worst customer service I’ve ever had
I received an email the day of checkin at 1pm saying reception is closed at 5pm and I need to call the emergency number on the door and someone will accommodate us directly to our room. My booking receipt clearly states checkin is open til midnight. After a day of traveling from Canada, my flight arrives at 7pm so when we arrive at hotel I use my phone but the number doesn’t work because I don’t have a Greek SIM card. After 30 mins I am able to borrow a kind passerby’s phone and call. No one comes to help, I’m told to go to room101 and the key is there. Someone else is in 101 so my wife, son and I decide to check all the other rooms to find the open one. The suites are all over but we find it(30 mins more). When I explain the situation in morning to Dimitri, he says we give no apologies and explains the govt only lets him work 8hrs(so hire someone to cover it, right?) Another thing to note is the ‘hottub’ is only allowed to go to 33 degrees and they won’t raise it so don’t pay extra for it if you like hot tubs that are actually hot. And lastly, there were lots of small bugs all dead outside our entrance when we arrived and after the room was cleaned the next day, they were all still there so attention to cleanliness is almost as low on the priority list as customer service. When I asked Dmitri the next day if he had spoken to the owner about me, he replied “for what?” Come visit Santorini but don’t stay here.
