Room is warm and pleasant but the toilet and floor feels quite cold, that might need work, especially in autumn and winter. The place was perfect, clean, felt so welcome! The hotel is in a really nice part of Valparaiso with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and well-lit. The bathroom was also quite big and the shower was really nice. The staff were super helpful and gave us lots of information about the area and places to visit. The rooftop terrace is lovely with excellent views.
Winebox hotel is owned by Grant a New Zealander, it’s built from shipping containers. He was originally a winemaker... so excellent wine tastings here! All the fixtures and fitting are made from wine bottles and pallets. Artwork is keeping with Valparaíso art scene. Excellent stay, staff went out of their way to make sure the stay was professionally informal & relaxed... Also a great fresh breakfast. Oh, and Grant’s pisco sours are top notch too!
