I always enjoy my stays at Portonovo. This was my 5th time and I was treated so well I will return again. The breakfast is included and what a variety! Tasty food and great service. I love the location, two blocks from the north end of the Malecon, across the street from the beach and in the middle of all the little shops. Perfect for me.

Location! Location! Location!
Excellence: Rooms and the entire hotel are extremely clean beyond my expectations. Tasty breakfast everyday. Location, location, location: near the beach, restaurants, shops for souveniors, the Malecon is within walking distance and a lot of other activities. Staff: Kitchen staff, housekeeping and even the front office staff are great people. Areas of improvement: The room had no refrigerator and a safe. I am not sure if it was the room I chose or this was true everywhere. Check the details before booking as I had assumed the fridge came with the room. The internet did not work in the room either so if you are teleworking, this may not be the best choice.

The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. It definitely could use some mainstream. The bathroom floor was constantly wet either from leaky toilet or sink. Shower also sprayed water everywhere as needs new seals. Breakfast was good. Rooftop pool definitely needs an update. But😀. Price was good. Very close to Malecon and many wonderful restaurants. Perfect for short stays. Would go again❤️
