This was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had, and I blame both Expedia and the hotel. First of all, when we arrived at the hotel, our room was NOT ready. Instead of a smooth check-in, they threw us into a suite for one night, only to make us wake up early the next morning to move to our actual room. I'm on vacation—I don't want to wake up early! The staff didn’t care at all; in fact, the girl at the front desk had the worst attitude. She was rude, slow, and acted like we were inconveniencing her. And we weren’t the only ones—our family members had the same issue. Their excuse? A "plumbing maintenance issue."
To make matters worse, we specifically booked a hotel ON the beach, and guess what? It wasn’t on the beach. Complete false advertising! The trolley they used to transport us was a joke, uncomfortable and unsafe—I ended up with back pain because of it.
And then the flight situation—Expedia completely dropped the ball. We were told our flight was delayed, only to find out later that they straight-up lied to push us onto another flight. Why lie? Just be honest! It was beyond frustrating and unnecessary stress on what was supposed to be a relaxing trip.
Expedia, do better.
