4/10 Fair

the property surrounding the hostel is about 37 minutes on average away from the main part of porto. it isn’t a terrible walk without luggage, but with bags and other heavy items- it’s a struggle. it’s also located in an alley which is about a 7-10 minute walk away from the closest main road. the service with the lady wasn’t bad. woth a language barrier, we were able enough to communicate with each other and it worked out. honestly inside the house it’s quite nice, lots of cool decorations. the host wasn’t bad either, she was kind and accomodating. however our room and bathroom didn’t smell too well, no working AC which isn’t too bad since it isn’t summer. and our bathroom towels were stiff, but washed. there was also small little bugs on the pillows but it’s possible it was from the window we left open. if you’re there for a short stay, it’s far from transportation so if you’re looking for a place close and easy i don’t think you should go for this. for our purpose of budgeting, it was a cheap option that provided us a shelter and, with taxis, was slightly more accessible.
