It's an OK hotel but could be great.
It's an OK hotel but is a bit dated with some investment it could be great. The hotel entrance is impressive but still seems dated. However when we arrived in the room none of the electric worked. We had to wait to move to another room. It wouldn't have been too annoying however we did have to waste about an hour while it was sorted out as when we first called reception no one seemed to do anything, we had to wait till be got hold of a cleaner walking past the room to actually get (or seem like) someone was acting on it and helping us get it sorted and move room. The night room service is none existent. There's a number printed in the welcome book which just rings, no matter how many times you call it. Then you call reception and they tell you to call a different number and then that just rings or they cut you off and then when you call reception and ask them to call you back as the room service number just rings they forget about it. I had the same conversation with another couple staying at the hotel who just ordered from a local take away. The breakfast is what really saves this hotel. The guy servicing the breakfast was superb, very friendly, quick and energetic. The rest of the breakfast staff were also very attentive.

Revew of our stay at the Clyde Court Hotel
Great stay apart from one night where rowdy guests disrupted other guests stay and a whole nights sleep, though the offending guests were eventually dealt with by a duty manager and moved to another room as well as being refused anymore alcohol that evening, and all front of house staff were informed of the incident the following day. Very nice hotel its a shame it is soon to close, perhaps though the rates did seem rather steep for what the hotel offered, and there was a particularly a sharp rise for weekend days, this does seem unwarranted as the bar menu in the hotel was rather limited, though the staff and chef did accommodate us with a late desert 1 night which we really enjoyed while listening to the great pianist that played in the bar some evenings. All in all we were quite happy with our stay.

Great stay
Really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Great location and ease of parking. Friendly welcome at reception and request for room was granted and appreciated with a peaceful sleep and great views. Very comfy beds and nicely decorated rooms. Ate in bar and food was excellent. Coffee and scones on our first morning were just fab. Super friendly and efficency staff.

Used the hotel as a base for attending the craft fair at RDS. The reception and bar staff were excellent and the bedroom was well appointed. Would definitely stay there again.

Shame its closing down!!!
Stayed for weekend to go to concert at 3Arena. Wrong area of town to stay for that because of horrendous one-way traffic system! Hotel was fantastic - clean, beautifully decorated, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it really so were very surprised to hear its closing down at end of the year and being turned into apartments! Dublin's loss indeed!!

Stopover
The Hotel was good overall and in a very good location. The parking at €10:50 per night is too much considering that you can park on the road overnight free. Also I was very disappointed with the Dinner I got in the Bar area, which was the worst Lamb Shank I have ever tasted. It was not on the bone but slices of very fatty lamb in a bowl. I will not eat there again.

Never Again
Friendly staff at reception.Bar food cold because it was served on a cold slate.Heating did not work we were left with a portable heater, sink blocked if you ran the tap more than a trickle, bare bulb on the wall, and the final straw was dirty bed linen. Will not be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.Do Not know how this got four stars

Expedia users beware
The hotel staff was less than helpful upon check-in. Our reservations were incorrect; despite my showing several staff members the Expedia confirmation email. As a result, we were placed in nothing more than a small closet at the end of the hallway. The desk staff members could have admitted their mistake, however, did everything possible to avoid giving us an acceptable room. Any other hotel would have apologized and given us an upgrade (or descent room). The hotel is old, dingy, and very worn. The breakfast is marginal. The best hotel staff members were in the restaurant; the chef delivering the hot food was extremely friendly, cheerful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Overall, this is a hotel that will give an Expedia member the worst room in the hotel. What a shame considering I most likely paid more than what was advertised on their own website. I have booked many a hotel room on Expedia and received the same level of service as any/all other customers. In summary, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many others in the Ballsbridge area to choose from.

A BAD EXPERIENCE
I did not have a good experience - 1. I had requested a room looking towards Aviva Stadium, I got an internal room ... and no option to change. 2. A water container regularly filled / drained outside the room window. 3. Food served in the bar was cold, and incorrect order produced. 4. The bar area and inner lobby area was very cold in the evening.

We had a lovely stay here last weekend. Perfect location and reception service was great. Atmosphere in the bar was the best I have experienced in a long time. Lovely piano player which meant it was still easy to chat. Highly recommend this hotel and price was very very reasonable.

Noisey night in Dublin
we were looking forward to a good nights sleep but unfortunately the walls were so thin that the trio of drunks next door keep us awake from 0000 until they left their room at 0630 in the morning (how they were able to stay awake was beyond me). We rang the manager twice 0300 and 0500 and he did come up and berate them but that didnt do the business. It was looking like a good place to stay but very much spoiled by the chaps next door. Thanks for the refund of breakfast cost but I was too tired to eat what looked like a great breakfast buffet.
