Charming is the best word to describe the Sonoita Inn. It felt like a combination of a bed and breakfast mixed with a visit to grandmas house. We got a phone call from the hotel manager on our way in to let us know there was an accident on the only road that leads into town and to expect delays. She told us that she would leave our “keys” in an envelope in a little mailbox on the outside of the building. Actual keys which I haven’t seen in many years! One for the front door and one for our room. The place looks like a renovated barn, and when you walk in the front door, there are high ceilings with large metal light fixtures, a seating area and a large table. When we walked into our room, there is an actual quilt on the bed just like you would find at grandma‘s house. My only complaint would be the size of the TV in the room, my computer screen at work is bigger than the TV in the room. We requested a small refrigerator for my husband’s medicine and it was there as requested and nice and cold as well as the room. She made sure the AC was on so the room was comfortably cold for us, as well as all the other guests. It comes with a continental breakfast which was bagels, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice, yogurt. Very basic but convenient. There is a mini Kcup coffee maker in the room as well as coffee and tea all day in the lobby. The bed was a little hard for me personally but overall not terrible. There’s a few places to eat in walking distance. Overall we loved it
