Our Recent Stay at the Dorsett
The Dorsett is literally the perfect place to stay for travelers who wish to be proximate to the Changi Airport. It's one simple subway stop from the airport to the hotel. Singapore has an excellent and clean rapid transit system, negating any need for a car.
During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations on certain floors. Construction activity was ongoing MON-SAT, 9 am to 3 pm. In that period, it was noisy, but a Singapore traveler should be out exploring during the day, so that's what we did and the noise was not a problem for us.
Food services are abundant in an adjacent shopping center only a few footsteps from the hotel. If you prefer to eat in your room, it's equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and complete table settings. There are several bakeries in the shopping center, so we availed that in the morning and brought plenty of delightful offerings to our room before setting out to explore the city.
The hotel does have a buffet breakfast available for those who arise feeling hungrier than we did. It looked quite good, but it was more than we needed this time around. I do not recall the pricing of the breakfast.
