Convenient for travelers
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly. The room was very clean. The breakfast was above average, but it was well stocked and well tended. The guest laundry was in good order. Artesia is a small town, but it has a number of restaurants and a good Starbucks.

Rude management
The manager was very rude and unprofessional. I booked the room through hotels.com for an employee. Despite that, the hotel also charged my employee’s personal card for 2 nights. Not to mention their phone system was down so my calls went unanswered. I eventually had to have my employee go to the front desk and hand the manager his cell phone. The manager Nicole refused to refund the double charge. I was talked down to and treated like we were in the wrong. Very unethical. I had to email the regional manager to get it taken care of. In my 20 years of traveling for business I’ve never experienced such incompetence.
