Westin not for me
Large resort that was just not to my liking.
Spring break so I expected it to be busy but this was so extremely busy and no room to breathe. The pool and common areas were so jammed packed with physical things that it just looked congested which contributed to the over busy feeling. I will definitely not go here again. The Sheraton by Black Rock (Ka’anapali) is a much better alternative. Open grass areas, and pools that are more spread out. Plus you get the better part of the beach there.
Back to the Westin- Room was nice. Seemed clean and the bed was comfortable.
Very hard to get a chair at the pool - even at 8 am. And not enough shaded areas for sitting. What looks great on the website is actually not. Too cramped and much smaller in person.
$50 per day valet fee plus the $49 per day resort fee- ridiculous. But try the poki nachos. Those are yummy.
