Based on my experience, hotel, at best, is a 3. The location -huge plus and is the only 4-star attribute I can give. Room- definitely large enough. appreciated the balcony. However, I’ll give up some room space /balcony to have a better bathroom. Bathroom extremely small/poor, there were hair strands left in the shower which should never happen coming into a ‘clean’ room. I kept stubbing my toe on the toilet bc it was so small, so uncomfortable to move around. While I had my DND out first morning, I did not the following mornings, and still did not have my room cleaned. Asked for fresh towels which were bought immediately, the staff was very nice and friendly. Following showering, the brought up towels Shed-Like-Crazy like new/unwashed, or, super cheap towels do, ughhh. While later at night I could hear clear talking from neighbors, luckily nobody around was super rowdy.
The property seems to be separated by a ‘nicer’ side that seemed to have its own elevator away from the crazy lobby which is also poorly arranged, long line at the reception desk spills over to the elevator’s space which was always busy, those two spaces were overwhelming to walk through. Doors in lobby are heavy, there were times I saw employees kinda standing around, there seemed to be nobody to help with the doors especially folks coming in with luggage, families etc.
Won’t return to hotel, luckily didn’t take from an awesome first Toronto visit. Glad location was near everything, can easily get around!
