Checked into the hotel at 3pm. The room was hot. Thought it was because the A/C was not on. After 2 hours sitting in a dark room with the a/c at full blast, te room was still at 28/C. Told George at the front desk to come check it out. Did some fumbling around and said I had set it up wrong. Promised me it woukd be cold in a little while. 9pm still at same temperature. Room was to big for such a small unit. George tells me it worked yesterday. Told him my health issues would not be resolved with the implied memories of past succeses. Then he put his hand to the blower and said it's blowing. I told him that if he can somehow attach the mattress to the ceiling, our toes can get cold and hopefully trick the rest of our body that we're fine. After 6 hours of this charade I asked for a refund so I can save myself. This started another round of chicanery with an owner on the phone that refused to do anythibg about it. Hotels.com was of absulutely no help to a VIP Platinum member and implied that a refund was at the discretion to this dungeon master. Which is odd, that a billion dollar corporation is powerless against George. I cut my loses and left for another hotel. I can't use the word checked out because George said emails after midnight. Well it's been 2 midnight since then, no email.
These are the people that give Greece sometimes a bad reputation. And I am Greek, and the whole theatrics were done in full Greek. Stay somewhere else. George spoke Greek, but was not a real one
