Let me start with what I liked - I called the hotel to let them know that I'll be arriving very early. The staff said we could register when we arrive and use their facilities under the room was ready. Also liked the staff at Flamingo, very friendly.
I didn't like these - minimal to no to frustrating Wi-Fi. I called the front desk to offer to pay as my kids were crying. My kids aren't spoiled, that's how the new generation de-stress themselves.
I noticed several ants as soon as I entered the bathroom. I wiped them off but they were back. I can understand it's a tropical country so I didn't complain. When I moved to the other hotel after feeling disappointed with their Wi-Fi, I anticipated the ants, but there were none!
Next - The staff (younger East Asian descent female) told me several times not to depend on her to email me when the room was ready! Ultimately, about less than an hour before 2pm, the other staff (older East Asian descent female) emailed to let me know.
Another disappointment - a younger East Asian descent female staff knew we reached very very early. It was about 12 pm when I realized, after sitting at The Flamingo restaurant for about 3 hours, that there is access to a very much cooler lounge room next to reception. I asked this same female staff if we could use it. She said yes, and that she was so sorry for not telling me about this space!
I appreciate that Roberto agreed to refund the balance when I expresse my interest to check out at 7am nextday
