The lobby seemed recently remodeled+clean, the staff member who checked us in was polite and accommodating. The rest of the hotel, including our room, was poorly maintained and did not feel clean/safe.
- The room had a terrible musty odor.
- Room did not have a functioning lock on door. The lock had mechanical or electrical problems, we struggled to lock/unlock and open/close door.
We did not feel safe in our room all night, we were worried that someone could easily break in.
(We were very concerned about these red flags, but didn’t report these issues because we had just finished working a long event, it was 11 PM, and we were exhausted. We didn’t have the energy to deal with the hassle of switching rooms.)
In addition to the security concerns, several of the amenities were disappointing/unusable:
-The pool was closed and filled with murky green water, it was filthy and looked completely neglected.
-The hot tub was filled in with concrete.
-The "breakfast" consisted of a few old muffins and not much else... we chose to eat elsewhere
Overall experience was extremely disappointing, and we did not feel safe or comfortable!
