Poor condition, cleanliness, and service
I stay in hotels about 60 nights a year and almost never rate one this low but this hit a trifecta of poor maintenance, dirty, and lousy service. The checkin experience was fine, but after that it was all down hill. 2 of the 3 elevators were out of service, towels were super worn and multiple had holes or rips. Curtains had large stains, bathroom ceiling had peeling paint, shower caulk had mildew, disposal in the kitchen had a spoon and a bunch on McDonald’s fries in it (box still in kitchen trash). There were only 2 spoons and 1 pan that should have been thrown out a couple of years ago. Service staff at breakfast were very inappropriate. The first morning the woman restocking breakfast told us we were rude within 30 seconds of arriving because we didn’t say good morning and thank you when we arrived (it’s a self service breakfast). The second morning was a different woman, we arrived more than an hour before the end of breakfast and they were out of 2 of the 3 hot items. I asked if they were going to bring out more eggs and you would have thought I asked her to carry a piano up a flight of stairs. The combination of things make it clear this is a ownership/management issue not just a random bad experience with someone having an off day. We would definitely not stay her again
