Add the little things.
We have stayed at this hotel before and generally like it. The room was attractive, the furnishings in excellent condition. However, there were a couple of areas where we thought improvements could be made. There was only one chair in the room, another would have been appreciated. On this occasion we were in a twin room but there was only one bedside cabinet between the two beds. A quarter of this was taken up by the telephone. There was ample room for another one. The bathroom and the toilet was split on different sides of the entrance. This in itself was not a problem but we did think there should be a handbasin in the toilet area. There is room. The bathroom was cramped and we thought a shower rather than a bath would have been more appropriate. There was only one small towel rail but four towels. There was enough space for another rail [heated perhaps?]. Small things but do add up. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the dining room staff. Very nice restaurant.
