I drove 8 hrs to the hotel. When I arrived it was about 730ish. There was no one at the desk. A sign was there stating the employee would be back in 10 mins. The employee eventually returns & checks me in. My room was very spacious. It felt like a large one bedroom/1 bath apartment vs a hotel suite. Anyways, I noticed there was a dead spider in the shower, but everything else was ok.
What I didnt like was how the hotel would send emails offering extra services for an additional cost. These are services that customer should be able to select when choosing a room. I just feel like it nickel & dimes customers when the emails are sent out randomly. I did partake in the late check out despite the exurberant fee of $30. I did a morning hike thinking my check out time was 130pm vs noon. Well I return to the hotel at 1245 & my room keys dont work. The lady working the desk didnt understand english very well (language barrier) but everything was fixed. She said someone said I wasnt in the room. But my stuff was still in it. That didnt make any sense to me, but whatever.
If you are in Marin County & need a place to stay, Marin Hotel will suffice for the night. Just make sure the bathroom doesnt have any spiders & your check out time is what it is supposed to be w/o your room key being deactivated.
