The hotel was being renovated while we were staying there and the staff went to great lengths to make sure we weren't disturbed by the construction. The crew did get started by 9:30am, but they were wrapped up and gone by the time we got back to the hotel later in the day. Our room had been renovated and we loved the updated lighting and usability of the guest room. Plenty of space for devices, clothing, shoes, etc. A couple more drawers would have been nice, but we made it work. Everyone on staff was extraordinarily friendly, the restaurant was a great brunch meetup with colleagues in town, and we felt very secure inside the building. The area is close to everything, very convenient to both the blue/orange, yellow/green and red metro lines, and the Mall or White House was a short walk or bike ride away. The Capital One center was very walkable, with countless restaurant options steps away.
