Upon arrival, we were checked in by a staff member who appeared new to the job, but she eventually gave us our room key. We were in our room for approximately 1.5 hours, when the door opens! Two ladies had ALSO been given the key to OUR room! A short while later, my husband went get soda and found that our room key no longer worked.
We went to the front desk and explained the situation to the SAME person who checked us and the other folks into the room. She simply said, oh yes. No 'sorry for the inconvenience, sorry for the mistake.....nothing. I had to ask if we could have our keys redone so we could get back into our room .....and all she said was.....I need your identification My husband then looked at our bank account and saw that she had charged us TWICE for our room that we had prepaid for through a third party.
The manager was called, who promptly explained that she, herself, had been there for a week and 'didn't have access to most of the stuff"
We were able to get back into our room after getting another key. We kept the bolt on the door at all times until we left and our bank was able to remove the additional room charges from our account.
